Today, we made fairly good progress. The main wood for the countertop was cut to size and ready for the laminate on Monday. Also, the rest of the subfloor in the old kitchen was finished getting pulled up.
On the inside of the sink cabinet, the wall back was lined with maple paneling. So, this evening I have been putting on Polycrylic so it will be pretty water proof. I’m getting ready to put on the 3rd and last coat now. I was pretty easy to apply and cleans up with just water…which is a huge plus for me.
We are also supposed to hear from the Pella window warehouse on Monday to see if they have any windows or doors that were custom ordered and then not purchased. I’ve been told that by buying the custom sized items can sometimes lead to great discounts and huge values for a high quality product.
