My daughter is turning 10 years old and in usual fashion, I asked her what kind of birthday cake she wanted. Her said she just wanted something that just said “10” on it. I searched Google and Pinterest looking for a Girl’s 10th Birthday Cupcake Idea but couldn’t find anything really easy. So I decided to make something on my own. For the record, the cake part itself came out very tough, but the frosting came out great and was super fluffy!
I had to use a Wilton 1M decorators tip to make the swirls on the cupcakes and to top it off, we added pink and purple sprinkles. Overall it wasn’t very hard to do. You just need to play around with how you want to make the numbers with the cupcakes BEFORE you frost them.
I used 24 round cupcakes and 9 oblong cupcakes. You could easily use boy color frosting to make this applicable for boys. Another neat idea would be to use yellow and green colors and make the letters “J D” (John Deere) for little boys who like tractors and John Deere stuff.
Very cute idea! I’m stopping by to say thank you for visiting my blog last week during the Mom’s Monday Mingle. Have a Merry Christmas!
