Holiday Dinner Freezer Rolls
Make the dough up to a month before you need it and freeze it. Thawing and rising time in optimal environment takes 2-3 hours
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup cool water
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 5 cups white all-purpose flour
- 1 pkg dry yeast 1 pkg = 2 1/4 tsp
Instructions

Add ingredients to bread machine pan in order listed. Put on "dough" setting and allow machine to mix dough.

You may need to "assist" the machine in mixing the dough for the first minute.

If dough appears to be sticky, add 1 tablespoon of flour at a time until dough is soft, but not sticky.

Remove dough from machine as soon as it finishes kneading. Do NOT let the dough rise.

Remove dough from pan and divide into 24 equal pieces. Shape into rolls and place on a baking sheet.

Once rolls are all shaped, place them immediately in the freezer until frozen.

Place frozen rolls into a Ziploc and store in freezer for up to 1 month.

BAKING DAY:

Remove rolls from freezer and place on a greased 9×13" pan. Cover with plastic wrap and allow to rise in a warm place for several hours, until doubled, about 2-3 hours in a warm and friendly environment.

Preheat oven to 425°.

Make a simple egg wash by mixing 1 egg with 1 tablespoon water and mix well.

Brush egg wash over rolls and bake for 15-25 minutes.
