Janelle’s Favorite Budget Friendly Italian Meatball Mix
Whether you are cooking for 4 or 40, this recipe is easy on the budget and delicious too!

Ingredients
- 1 pound 80/20 or leaner ground beef
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup dried lentils cooked in water, then drained
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup Italian style bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp fresh parsley chopped
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
Ingredients needed for serving approximately 50
- 10 pounds 80/20 or leaner ground beef
- 3 pounds ground turkey
- 3 cups dried lentils cooked in water, then drained
- 10 eggs
- 3 cups grated Parmesan cheese
- 5 finely chopped onions
- 2 Tbsp salt
- 2 Tbsp black pepper
- 5 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
- 2 Tbsp dried oregano
- 1.5 Tbsp dried basil
Instructions

Place all of the ingredients into a large bowl and mix well until combined.

Using an ice cream scoop for equal meatball sizes, shape until rounded balls and place on greased baking sheets.

Bake in preheated 425° for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and has an internal temperature of 165°.
