Old-Fashion Ginger Pumpkin Pie
This recipe has been passed down through the generations. It's been at everything Thanksgiving meal that I can remember. Classic and delicious!
Servings 12 people
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked or canned pumpkin If using fresh cooked pumpkin, allow to drain for 30 minutes before using.
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup half & half
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Brush crust with egg wash if desired.

Mix all of the ingredients and pour into a prepared pie crust.

Bake at 375°F for 45-55 minutes or until the edges are just about cracking but the inside is slightly jiggly.

Allow to cool/chill before serving.
