I had precipitous labor that started at 12:40am and ended with her being born about 2 hours and 50 minutes later. We left our house at 3:12am and she was born at 3:34am. Did I mention that the hospital is a solid 20-25 minutes from our house!!! She was almost born in the car, but out of sheer will from the nurses and attending, they managed to get me to a labor and delivery room just as she was born. It was a crazy, crazy night. My husband was fabulous and managed to stay very calm and collected during the entire drive to the hospital.
On a side note, my husband has started to make bread this week and is hoping to post some of his thoughts on that process. I hope to return to blogging on a more regular basis now that Lydia is here, but I supposed that mainly depends on how much sleep I manage to get the next couple of weeks. 🙂 Please stay tuned…..
The news we’ve been waiting for! Congratulations, and welcome to the world, Lydia Rose! What a beautiful name! I knew you were having a girl!!
She’s beautiful! Congrats
